Donald Ellis, US Navy

Donald Jean Ellis, age 84 of Clarksville passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021.

Celebration of Life was held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Kerr officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Memorial Cemetery.

The family received friends on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Donald entered this life on October 25, 1936, in Chenoa, IL to the late Russell and Marie Ellis. He enlisted into the United States Navy on his 18th birthday, and honorably served his country. Donald was a Mechanical Engineer and retired after 40 years of employment in Toledo, OH. He enjoyed fishing and watching college football, especially The University of Michigan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Wiegand Ellis.

Survivors include his daughters, Jeanne Kerr, Dr. Kathryn Ellis Bates, and Barbara Estrada, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
