Jerry Lee Colbert, MMC, US Navy (Ret.)

A Celebration of Life service for MMC Jerry Lee Colbert, NAVY (Ret), 81, of Clarksville, TN, will be Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 6:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Henry Walker will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:30 PM until the time of service.

Jerry was born on June 9, 1940, in Troy, MO to Virgil and Mary Wannick Colbert who precede him in death. He passed away on December 24, 2021. Jerry served two tours in Vietnam and retired after 22 years in the United States Navy. He was a member of DAV Chapter 45 and American Legion Post 289. Jerry liked fishing and woodworking.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Betty Colbert; children: Shirley Wood, Maggie Colbert, Brenda (Shawn) Wood, David (Billie) Zeveney, Cynthia Zeveney-Dequenne, and Carrie (Jozef) Alter; siblings, Shirley Patton, and Johnny Colbert; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
