Lee Roy Kerr, SP6, US Army (Ret.)

A Celebration of Life service for SP6 Lee Roy Kerr, ARMY (Ret), age 88, of Clarksville, TN, was held on Wednesday January 12, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial was followed with full military honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Lee was born on August 18, 1933, in Newell, AL to Henry and Atha Edwards Kerr. He passed away on January 6, 2022. Lee retired from the United States Army after 22 years. He served in Japan, Korea, and two tours in Vietnam. Lee was formerly an ordained deacon at Northeast Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling and fishing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children Rhonda Kerr and James Kerr; and 7 siblings. He is survived by his wife, of 67 years, Phyllis Hanson Kerr, children: Angela (John) Leach, Teresa Kerr, Pamela (James) Shadowens, and Richard Kerr; brother, Winfred Kerr; 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.
